There are a few perks that one gets when you are photographing your brother-in-laws engagement pictures, one being the use of your in-laws beautiful family cottage, another being that you can stretch the limit and perhaps do a few crazy things ie: above picture and three, you get to photograph two very wonderful people who are completely in love with each other. We had a wonderful time a few weeks ago at the family cottage and took advantage of the gorgeous weather to snap a few photos. I will not be photographing their wedding as I would really like to be a guest at their wedding but my associate Danielle Rabbat from Rabbat Photo will be photographing their wedding for me! I am very excited about Saturday and I am very excited to share these sneak peaks with you.
Congratulations Abe and Karen and all my very best, I love you both very much!
I have been very fortunate in my career as a wedding photographer to have had so many amazing couples. Sometimes though, you get a couple that you just know will spand the bond of “business” and enter into a realm of friendship and I just know that that will happen with Monika and Andrus. When I met them for the first time I just knew that we would connect and have a fantastic time working together. Monika and I also share a huge passion for vegetable gardening, she had me at “vegetables”. Their wedding was glorious, the weather was amazing and every detail about their wedding truly, truly, truly reflected who they were as a couple. Monika and Andrus are “earthy” people and their wedding reflected that. The table centre pieces were all herbs that had been planted by the two of them and grown in their home over the winter and spring, the flowers were all native to Canada, their jewellery was locally made, their meal encompassed the 100 mile diet, their rings were designed to take on a nature look, their wine from a local winery, the list goes on. It was a true pleasure to photograph a wedding for a couple who hold so many of the same values that I am bringing my family up with.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph your wedding, you truly honour me!
Yours in pictures and garden dirt!
Monika and Andrus did all their pictures before the ceremony, this picture is the lead up and the first sight of each other!
Janice and Don are an absolutely wonderful couple who knew from a very early point in their dating that they were meant to be. Their love is absolutely infectious and I wish we could just bottle it up and share it with everyone. Their wedding took place at their beautiful country property just west of Milton and it was the perfect setting for them to share their love with their family and friends. Everywhere you looked there were the most beautiful floral bouquets as Janice and her team are some of the best in the business, Business is Blooming is Janice’s floral boutique that is located in Milton and their work is amazing. It was such an honour to photograph a fellow wedding vendor on her big day.
Thank you Janice and Don and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
