I met Kristine and Drew for their Goderich engagement session on what was perhaps the nicest day of the summer. I originally met Kristine at Credit Valley Golf and Country Club when she was the assistant wedding co-ordinator with Teresa Padhina. Together they were an amazing team. Kristine left to attend teachers college but always kept me on the back of her mind. When Drew proposed to Kristine, not long after she emailed me and asked me to photograph her wedding. After many appreciated referrals from Kristine, this past July it was finally my chance to get to photograph her with her awesome fiancee Drew for their Goderich engagement session. I photographed them on the property surrounding their cottage and then we walked down to the beach to continue what was already an amazing afternoon. The beach was quiet and almost completely private and allowed us to explore the surrounding area with no interruptions. A beach is a great place to photograph a portrait session as it gives so many options for photography. Sometimes just have water in a background lets the foreground stand out, sitting amongst the reads creates a romantic feeling, almost like you are hidden with nobody watching. A snapshot of the sandals on the beach by themselves helps to tell a story all on its own. There are so many ways to create a romantic photoshoot without having to move more than 100 metres. This beach gave us all of these possibilities and then some.
What follows below are a few of my favourite pictures from their Goderich engagement session. I can’t wait until March until I get to photograph their wedding at Hockley Valley and reunite with Amanda and Lee. Thanks Kristine and Drew for all of your amazing support!
