Ivy and Kory were married on June 29th of 2013 at The Kempenfelt Conference Centre in Barrie. They are such a lovely couple, soft spoken, gentle and true kids at the heart of it all. They are surrounded by friends and family who are so full of life, laughter and love that you just know that they will be supported for a lifetime. Their wedding day story was a very easy one to tell as they were candid and comfortable with me as well as with everyone around them. Laughter has to be one of my most favourite things in the whole world and their wedding day was full of it.
Ivy and her Dad have an amazing connection, not to say she doesn’t have it with her Mom but she specially asked to make sure I was able to get this moment and I am so glad I did. I love that I can see her reflection in the door as her Dad is about to walk out. The ultimate photo bomb, the grooms party jumping into the shot! I love the reactions!
Just before the reception, Ivy’s Dad held an impromptu and surprise balloon dedication to the family members that had recently passed away a short time before the wedding. It was emotional moment but tender with love and remembrance. Not to be forgotten, Kory’s car. The last shot in the series scared me to death. As I took the shot the flash went off in the car and I caught a glimpse of a doll that at the time was quite startling. It turns out Kory loves Freddy Krueger, and his doll is always in the car. Thank You Kory and Ivy for an amazing day! You truly are a wonderful couple. I wish you nothing but the best in life. I also hope to see you one day at a wedding, perhaps working with your Dad Ivy and his amazing catering company, Catering by Colin, he will be in a blog down the road from a September wedding! Thank you as well to Sebastian Auger of SA Photo for the amazing second shooting.
